Ekta Kapoor’s ‘anti-heroine’

Ekta Kapoor’s latest show, Bayttaab Dil Kee Tamanna Hai, claims to introduce TV’s first ‘anti-heroine’ as it tells the story of a simple girl with stars in her eyes who is transformed by the ruthlessness and harsh reality of the urban jungle. Her dream notions are shattered and her ambition to succeed at any cost takes over.

Three sisters - Kanchan,Shamoli and Kakon - are forced to leave their home in the small town of Siliguri to come to Mumbai. Kanchan tries to adjust to the situations that she is confronted without compromising her well-instilled values whereas Shamoli is determined to fulfil her dreams in any way possible. Starring newcomers Priyamvada as Kanchan, Sumana Das as Shamoli and Pragati Chourasia as Kakon, the show also features familiar faces Shiv Subramanian and Urvashi Dholakia.
