John Is All Set To Play A Comedy Role In His Upcoming Flick

His last romantic comedy ‘Jhootha Hi Sahi’ satisfied only certain class of people. Soon the hot hunk of Bollywood will again feature in a light-hearted movie that will be a directorial debut of Kapil Sharma. And we feel that it looks bit appealing, for we can see him with a fresh lady in this one.

Here John Abraham will be paired up with the ‘Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi’ famed beauty Chitrangada Singh for the first time.

About the director, he is the son of astronaut Rakesh Sharma, who was the first Indian to travel into space. Kapil had worked as an assistant in films like ‘Drona’, ‘Being Cyrus’ and also the Hollywood movie ‘The Darjeeling Limited’.

Kapil claims his film more than just a rom-com and states that it’s an urban, hip and cool take on today’s trends and culture. On asking why he chose John, he said, “I think there can’t be anyone better than John who represents that bracket. He not only has international good looks, but is also a Mumbai boy.”

He also admires his leading actress Chitrangada and finds her very sophisticated and gorgeous, but equally in tune with her culture and values.

John Abraham, certified hunk and heart stopper male, is all set to get zillions of females (and scores of certain males too, ahem) drooling over his physicality some more. And it’s all gonna happen with terrific ‘Force’.John Abraham, who’s bagged low innings recently at the cine stakes, is all set to regain lost ground with ‘Force’ produced by Vipul Amrutlal Shah and helmed by the shy and bearded Nishikant Kamat ( ‘Mumbai Meri Jaan’ in 2008).

Being revved up for a mid 2011 release, ‘Force’, the Hindi remake of the Tamil super winner ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ starring Surya, will have John Abraham enacting a cop and romancing Genelia D’Souza on screen, both firsts for the actor.

‘Force’, a joint venture between Fox Star Studios and Vipul A Shah is being touted as an action flick having spectacular action sequences that “are going to be a first for Indian audiences.”

Actor John Abraham’s sexy abs may be getting him all the female attention, but his hot body is not exactly something that the Bollywood hunk considers as his USP.
Talking about his chiseled looks, Abraham says, “It definitely gets me the eyeballs, but I think that’s not all that earns me a fan following. I think I’m the underdog that everyone relates to. That’s my connection with my fans and also my strength.”
Explaining further, he adds, “My fans have seen me work my way up in the industry - from modelling to the big screen. I am not a star son nor did I have any Godfather. Nothing was offered to me on a platter. I have had my share of struggle and youngsters feel that if I could do it, so can they.”
However, Abraham is also quick to point out that he doesn’t resent the fact that he’s not born into a film family. “I don’t think they have it easy either. At the end of the day, you either deliver or you don’t and that has nothing to do with who you have to back you in this industry.”
He adds, “Today I respect all the success even more because it hasn’t come easy to me.” Is he referring to the initial days as an actor when he was being labeled as just-another-model-who-can’t-act? “Yes, that too. But I did not lose heart, I believe in taking up criticism positively and also as a challenge and try to work on it, rather than sulk about it,” he reveals.
His last release Jhootha Hi Sahi didn’t exactly set the cash registers ringing but Abraham is looking forward to his next - the high on action Kha Kha Kha.

“I’ll be kicking some serious butt in this,” smiles Abraham who will also be seen in the comedy Desi Boyz with Akshay Kumar and Dostana 2.

John wants to act in action movie

After the debacle of “Jhootha Hi Sahi”, Bollywood’s pin-up star John Abraham has decided to focus on mainstream roles. He is currently toning muscles for Hindi remake of Tamil blockbuster “Kaakha Kaakha”.
With his last two films “Ashaayein” and “Jhootha Hi Sahi” not doing well, you would think John’s producers are in the process of a serious re-think. Far from being discouraged, the makers are in the process of enhancing the original material.
Director Nishikant Kamat remains unfazed by the performance of John’s films.
“My producer Vipul Shah and I signed John for the ‘Kaakha Kaakha’ remake because we saw him doing the action hero’s part to perfection. So far, no film has tapped that side of him. John will be performing some of the most dangerous stunts ever seen in our film,” he said.
John, 37, has right now halted the shooting of key action sequences in his first full-fledged action film. Apart from Bollywood’s best action director Allan Amin, he has also asked for an action team from South Africa to supervise his stunts.
Confirming this, Kamat said: “We’ll do the action scenes later. I cannot do those loud larger-than-life stunts sequences where the hero beats up 20 adversaries single-handedly.”
“The action in my film has to be in the more realistic yet hardcore commercial space.
It’s a challenge for both me and John. For me, commercial cinema is new. I’ve butterflies in my stomach every time I go on the sets,” he added.
A source close to John says it’s goodbye to experimental characters for the actor.
No more playing against personality for John. No more nerdy or dying characters. It’s muscles and beefcake all the way as the pinup boy acquires an adrenaline-pumping chest-thumping image for his next, said the source.

John Abraham is probably one of the hottest looking hunks in Hindi Film Industry, but when Abbas Tyrewala the director of “Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na” cast John for his upcoming bollywood movie “Jhootha Hi Sahi” for a character who is geeky looking guy, everyone started talking about error in cast and media at some point of time even called Abbas Tyrewala someone who has taken the success of Jaane to his head and probably he himself doesn’t know anymore what he is up to.But proving everyone wrong, John and Abbas unveiled the new look of John Abraham, and just like us everybody was astonished as to what Abbas has done with the hunk. She said that this is the film I want to watch because it’s very unique, very fresh,” he added.

John dejected to have football

It’s hard to find a more ardent fan of football than John Abraham in Hindi film industry. Even before the tournament began, the actor had predicted Spain as the favourites to win the cup and the Spaniards have indeed made it to the finals to be played against The Netherlands in Johannesburg on July 11.

So kicked up was John about the ongoing FIFA World Cup, that he had even planned a brief break from Bollywood to fly to South Africa to watch the final match live. But all his plans went for toss after Vishal Bharadwaj called him up to shoot some extra scenes for Saat Khoon Maaf which is now being shot in Mumbai.

Obviously dejected at having missed the chance to see his favourite team play football in Soccer City, John had to grudgingly spare his dates for Bharadwaj.

Now, he’ll have to content himself with watching the game on his newly installed home theatre only.

John gets ready for next movie with Deepika

After Khakha Khakha, John Abraham is gung-ho about being cast in remakes of southern films. The remake of Khakha Khakha to be directed Nishikant Kamat is very much on John’s list. But there’s another film that has caught his fancy of late.
There are stories doing the rounds that John is keen to a Hindi remake of a Tamil film called Milaga. Our source said, “Milaga has been made by Tamil director Ravi Maria and the plot of the film had impressed John when watched it recently.” Apparently John met Maria and conveyed his keeness to be part of Milaga.
“Since John is eager to play the lead, Maria has cast him in the Hindi version called Mirchi. For the female lead Ravi has Deepika in mind. He feels that Deepika and John will make a fresh pair.”

John has become Film Producer

John Abraham’s love for bikes and football is known to all his fans. His off screen desire has been fulfilled on screen by his films Dhoom, where he is a biker and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, in which he plays a football player for South hall football club. Now, the actor wants to produce a film on soccer, which he has been planning for the last two years. A diehard football lover John said that he wishes to produce a film based on any possible sport in the earth.

The Bollywood hunk said, "My earlier movie on football Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal (2007) could not make it big at the box office. The reason may be it that it was not set in India but in South Hall. I thoroughly enjoy the emotions on the sports field, and love to explore the angst, victory, loss and jealousy on field. I want to present the different connotations of the world of sports."

John will soon come up with a staff-driven production company and then he plans to make some entertaining movies. He added, “I will make films, where I can act. I don’t like to pretend doing something I don’t believe in.” The actor wants to make his football movie as interesting and enjoyable as the 1981 movie, Escape To Victory and the 2000 released The Titans.

The football fever is high in his veins now with the FIFA World Cup going on. He has watched all the matches till now. John added, "My favorite team is Argentina as I am a fan of their coach Diego Maradona. I hope the team wins."be held.

Bollywood bombshell, Bipasha Basu, and her beau John Abraham have been seen endorsing various products. The couple also appeared together for the Clinic All Clear commercial. The presence of this hot pair increases the brand visibility of any product.
Recently, the couple was approached to endorse an Indian herbal aphrodisiac, but they declined the offer despite being offered a huge amount of money. Bipasha said that they will only promote health and fitness products as a couple.

Confirming the news, a source said, “They were offered a huge amount for the endorsement but the couple turned it down. The product iss prepared from high quality extracts from the most exotic herbs, which is an effective natural sex enhancer.”

John Abraham’s sculpted physique and Greek-god like looks has not just swept Indian beauties off their feet, it has also floored international hotties. Believe it or not, but acclaimed Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich , who is one of John’s many fans, requested filmmaker Deepa Mehta to cast the hunk opposite her in her next film ‘Beeba Boyz’.

Buzz has it that Mehta had signed Milla in April 2010 for Beeba Boyz, a film on Punjabi gangsters. When Milla came onboard she expressed her desire to work with John, so Deepa decided to cast him. However with John’s jam packed schedule, Deepa could not get immediate time from the actor. But instead of hunting for another male lead Deepa decided to John’s dates. So now the director will first complete ‘Midnight’s Children’ and then return to ‘Beeba Boyz’.

Speaking about John, Deepa said, “John was always my first choice for the part. Ever since we did Water, we’ve been waiting to work together again. Beeba Boyz is perfect for John. I need someone who will look menacing but attractive, sexy and earthy, speaking those Punjabi lines fluently.”

As for Milla’s admiration of John, Deepa said, “Milla asked about John the minute I offered her my film. I think she had seen John’s film and loved him in it.”

Confirming his involvement in the project, John said, “Yes, Deepa and I have met about the project with Milla. I’m doing it. We’ve sorted out the dates issues. I’m really fond of Deepa. I think we did something special in `Water`. We’ll do it again.”
