Sindhu Samaveli Movie Actress Anaka Stills
Anakha is the heroine of the recently-released ‘Sindhu Samaveli’, directed by controversial director Sami. Sami is well known for his controversial acts in the past including slapping Padmapriya during the making of ‘Mirugam’ and serving a one-year ban and his much-criticized storlyline in ‘Uyir’ in which the lead actress (Sangeetha) lusted after her ‘brother-in-law’.
Sindhu Samaveli Anaka is open to glamour roles
Sami’s latest venture ‘Sindhu Samaveli’, which was passed with an ‘A’ certificate by the Censor Board, reportedly has a controversial theme in its script. The heroine of the film, debutant Anakha, has daringly taken up the role and has opined that she is ready to do ‘glamourous’ roles as well as all sorts of roles seeking to bring out the ‘actress’ in her.
Hailing from the neighbouring ‘God’s Own Country’, Anakha looks beautiful and talented. When queried as to what gave her the courage to have taken up such a role in her very first film, pat comes the reply from Anakha that ‘Sindhu…’ wasn’t the first film she signed up in her career. “I signed Veerasekaran first in the name of Amala Paul; I then changed my name to Anakha and got the offer of ‘Sindhu Samaveli’ which has now released ahead of Veerasekaran,” says Anakha.
“I’m quite happy that my role is getting all-round appreciation. I believed that the film would click because of Samy, who has some hits to his credit already. I think far from being labeled ‘controversial’, the film should be taken as a ‘very realistic’ one as it only depicts what has been going on in our society.
“I dreamt of becoming an actress when I hardly into my teens and did many commercials at a very young age. At 19, I feel I’ve made my debut only at the right time. I have been getting many offers and all kinds of roles; I would like to experiment by doing all these roles and appearing glamourously too. Glamour shouldn’t be come obscene, I personally feel. I love dancing and would like to take up roles having dancing as the central theme,” reels off Anakha.
Anakha plans to pursue her career in both Tamil and Malayalam films. “Tamil and Malayalam are like two eyes for me (?!) and I’d like to continue doing roles in both these languages,” concludes Anakha.
